Dingqiang Ye

I am an incoming Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University, where I will be advised by Prof. Vishal Patel. I earned my M.S. (2025) and B.E. (2022) in Computer Science from SUSTech, advised by Prof. Shiqi Yu. In 2024, I was also fortunate to spend eight months as a visiting scholar at Michigan State University, supervised by Prof. Xiaoming Liu.

My research goal is to develop recognition intelligent that can accurately re-identify objects in the physical world and bring a positive impact on people's lives. To this end, my interests lie at vision foundation models, object re-identification and generative AI. Currently, I am working on leveraging large vision models to identify human subjects at a distance.
